Yesterday was the last day of this year's Bouldering Camp and the routesetting crew prepared a special exercise that brought excitement and challenged all the athletes during both sessions. The kids worked alone and in groups and they were very supportive of their fellow climbers throughout the whole group session. With 22 boulder problems available and one-attempt to the top only, everyone found something challenging in the morning session; both their mental and physical strength was tested to the max!

For lunch everyone enjoyed traditional Southwester/Mexican dishes provided by Sol Catering, courtesy of David Waller (local climber, Zander’s dad). With their batteries fully recharged after lunch, everyone took the afternoon by storm and went to town on all the unfinished boulder problems plus some new ones that were set only for the second session by our awesome routesetters.

The day ended with 9 climbers being recognized for outstanding performance on and off the wall. In all honesty, everyone should have received an award for their attitude and performance. SO many great young people at this year's camp! I would like to believe that all of them have learned a lot this past week and will be able to put the new training to good use during upcoming training & practice and all the way to Divisionals and Nationals.

A special thank you to all of the Stone Summit setters, our amazing team of coaches and to the climbers and the parents for all their support during this event. See you all soon!
